Any built environment consists of many key features, but the main three are form, function and atmosphere. Emphasising these 3 features, I built a unique structure utilising various simple objects at home which created a vivid atmosphere through its abstract motion.

During the peak of COVID, we were tasked with creating an experience by transforming our living spaces. With the limited space I had, I was utterly shocked with how the room transformed into a more calm and serene space.

The outcome was truly remarkable and the glistening reflections of light transported me to a new place altogether. With the reflections constantly intersecting one another in a circular motion, the place felt more alive. The marvellous installation by JAJA Architects and Bessards’ studio, 'Disappearing Lighthouse Renovation', holds strong resemblance to the type of atmosphere and experience I created. The installation heavily emphasises on creating an atmosphere with an abstract use of the primal surroundings.
